Sand Hollow Golf Resort is an entirely new upscale golf resort and golf community in St. George, Utah. St. George is about two hours from Las Vegas, Nevada, and has long been known for its fancy fitness spas, and is a great escape from the lights of Las Vegas. It is also with in minutes of some of America’s most unique topography and home to some of the country's most scenic National Parks (Zion's, Bryce Canyon, Canyon Land, (Arches) National Parks. At Sand Hollow golf resort, John Fought has designed two golf courses, an 18-hole “Championship” course, and a 9-hole “Links” course. The former looks like a misshapen pretzel, with two loops, one incredibly tight nine, one much longer and rambling, both circling back to the middle of the facility. The routing is laid out through the region’s stunning natural scenery, sort of a cross between low and high desert, with plenty of rock, canyons and sand, but also grass, and lots of elevation changes. Advance reviews are already calling it the best golf course in the sate of Utah. It will be another great desert-style golf experience that will round out the newest golf resort in the region.
